Drew Johansen 4-Time Head Olympic Coach for Team USA & Head Diving Coach for Indiana University
Drew Johansen serves as the head diving coach at Indiana University. He was appointed head coach of the U.S. diving team for the 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024 Olympic Games in London, Rio, Tokyo, and Paris by USA Diving. Before these roles, Drew spent a decade as a U.S. National Team coach. During his tenure, the United States secured one gold, five silver, and four bronze medals, positioning the US team as the world's second-largest medal producer. Additionally, Drew Johansen was honored three times as the CSCAA Diving Coach of the Year (men’s in 2018 and 2023, women’s in 2022) and five times as the Big Ten Diving Coach of the Year (men’s in 2014, 2018, 2019, and 2023, women’s in 2022).
John Fox Auburn Head Diving Coach
In the last ten years, Fox has trained over 30 athletes who have advanced to compete at the Division I level. Fox's coaching achievements include 11 Junior National medalists, five Junior International medalists, a Boys USD Junior National Team Championship, two YMCA National Championships, seven Junior National champions, and a finalist in the 2021 Olympic Trials. Honored as the 2021 USPOC Diving Development Coach of the Year, Fox has also been recognized with the Moose Moss Diving Coach of the Year Award in 2017. Additionally, Fox was chosen to coach the Junior Pan Am Games in 2021 and the Junior Pan Am Championships in 2019 and 2021.
Dave Hrovat
Throughout his illustrious 31-year tenure as a coach at Clarion, Hrovat guided his divers to unparalleled success, clinching an impressive 48 national championships and garnering 294 All-American honors. Hrovat's coaching prowess was acknowledged with the prestigious titles of NCAA Division II Women's Diving Coach of the Year on 15 occasions and Men's Diving Coach of the Year 11 times. Remarkably, in the 30 instances that Hrovat's divers participated in the NCAA Division II Championships, they narrowly missed the national title merely four times. Particularly noteworthy is the dominance displayed by the women divers under Hrovat's tutelage, who secured 27 national championships between 1990 and 2020, surpassing the combined total of 33 titles won by all other competitors. Similarly, the men's team captured 21 out of 60 possible national titles, with a male Golden Eagle athlete making it to the podium approximately once every two years.
Heath Calhoun Clarion Diving Coach
Heath currently serves as the diving coach at Clarion, a DII institution in Western PA. Since joining Clarion in fall 2021, Heath has guided 27 All-Americans, 3 NCAA Champions, 2 CSCAA Women Diver of the Year recipients, and earned the CSCAA Women's Diving Coach of the Year title twice.
Before his tenure at Clarion, Calhoun mentored 17 NCAA regional qualifiers and produced six PAC Diver of the Year honorees at Westminster College. His divers at Westminster also excelled academically, boasting four CoSIDA Academic All-Americans. In addition to his coaching role at Westminster, Calhoun served as the camp director for the Duke Diving Camp, collaborating with 2016 Olympic coach Nunzio Esposto.
Aaron Rooney Alexandria Diving Coach
Aaron is currently coaching at his former high school, Alexandria High School in Minnesota. With eight years of high school coaching experience, he has guided 14 divers to state championships, including the 2024 State Champion. Aaron has been honored as the Section Coach of the Year 10 times, spanning both the girls' and boys' seasons.

Tippin Natatorium
The recently renovated Tippin Natatorium, finalized in 2020, stands out as a premier facility in the region, featuring two one-meter and two three-meter diving boards. Renowned for its deep diving heritage, Clarion Diving upholds this legacy within a contemporary setting.
The Clarion Diving Program holds a distinguished reputation as one of the nation's most esteemed diving programs across all divisions. With an impressive track record of 87 National Champions, 555 All-Americans, 32 Coach of the Year Awards, and the nurturing of 2 Olympians - Barbara Schaefer Nejman and Chris Seufert, the latter of whom clinched a bronze medal in the 1984 Olympic Games.
This natatorium serves as a revered sanctuary within the diving community, instilling in divers a drive for excellence and in coaches an ambition to realize their full potential.
Clarion Dryland Room
The Clarion Dryland Room accommodates three dryboards and a trampoline, while also showcasing elements of the Clarion Diving Program's history.
The walls are adorned with photographs capturing triumphant moments and legendary dives, serving as an inspiration for all who enter. The atmosphere in the room is both vibrant and motivational, encouraging athletes to push their limits and strive for excellence.
From its humble beginnings to its current status as a powerhouse in the Division II diving world. Athletes bounce with precision and grace, honing their skills and perfecting their form under the watchful eyes of their coaches.

Tippin Natatorium has two 1 meter boards and two 3 meter boards, as well as a dryland facility with three dry boards and trampoline.
